Hello Chi-Lites Members,
My husband and I saw your performance at the Umoja Festival in Portsmouth on Saturday, Sept. 16th. Your performance was outstanding!!  My brother purchased tickets for the show for my husband's retirement gift.  He served 24 years in the US Navy.  It was one of the best gifts that we have ever received!

I am still talking to all of my co-workers and friends about how sharp and refined you guys (and lady) looked in your white suits and hats!  We loved your entrance!  You all didn't miss a beat and the singing was phenomenal.  We are both 43 years of age, but we grew up listening to family members playing your music.  The style and superb sound was fantastic, so we developed a genuine love for your music.  I have always bought CD's containing your songs over the years, but now I know that I will be purchasing a Chi-Lites Ultimate Collection CD.

Again, thank you so much and we hope you all are back this way soon.  God bless you all!

Felecia and Sam Oliver

Just wanted to say that the show at the Tropicana in Atlantic City on August 23, 2003 was all that. The Chi Lites as usual were impeccably dressed in those yellow suits and matching hats. I only wished that they had done "Have You Seen Her" and I really hated the fact that the MC walked out on stage when Robert "Squirrel" Lester was doing my favorite song "Oh Girl". I love that man, and could watch him perform forever on stage. He is a true performer. However, I was one of the lucky people who had front row seats and was able to shake his hand before they left the stage. Also Marshall Thompson just gets better, and Frank Reed, well he just has a great sounding voice. I look forward each year to seeing that show at the Tropicana in Atlantic City and I have also attended the Soul Jam show in Reading, PA and at the Liacouris Center at Temple University in Philadelphia. I would just like to say to the Chi Lites that I have listened to your music forever, and that you only get better with time. And as long as there is a Soul Jam that I am able to attend, I will always be a fan. Stay well, take care, have only good tours. As for Robert Lester, you are my favorite, and I enjoy watching you perform.

I attended the February 17, 2004 concert in Merrillville, Indiana. The concert was wonderful. The Chi-lites are still number 1 in my book. I love their moves and their harmony. The Chi-lites aare down-to-earth people. It was a true blessing to be a part of this celebration. I look forward to attending the next concert in Chicago. Also, I wish to extend an invitation for the Chi-lites to return to Rainbow PUSH Coalition in Chicago. As a member of the choir, I hope that we could do something together on the next trip.

God Bless

Hello:
Wanted to stop once again and say how much I enjoyed the Soul Jam Show at the Tropicana in Atlantic City on Friday, July 22, 2005. After being disappointed in 2004 when the show did not make it to the Tropicana, I have to say that the artists made up for it at this year's show. I can't say enough about the ChiLites. They are impeccable in every way. They are the cleanest group out there from the seventies or the present. When Marshall, Robert (Squirrel) and Frank walked out on the stage in those pink suits, that was it for me. There is not another group that is so well put together as the ChiLites. And the show they put on is something to see. Also I like to say it was heartbreaking to hear about Eugene Record, especially after seeing him on the PBS special when he joined the ChiLites on stage at the Borgata in Atlantic City. You never have to meet these people in person, but after years of listening to their music and watching them perform, they become like your own family. And to his family, I send my heartfelt condolescences. To the remaining ChiLites, I say, stay strong, stay well, keep singing and entertaining people like myself who love you and will always remain loyal fans of yours. And know you will always have a fan in me. Thank you for all the years and the wonderful music. And to Robert (Squirrel), you are my favorite ChiLite! Deborah Green

Hi, was at the Hatchshell in Boston last night. Your band was the best. Loved the way you came out on the stage walking slow. Thanks for a great evening. J.p.
